The Client
St John Vianney Catholic Primary School is a thriving single-form entry primary community, situated in Tottenham, in the North London Borough of Haringey.
Their Need
The school hall had RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) issues meaning they could not use the space. One of the key issues this caused was around school lunches. They could neither prepare or serve the food and there was nowhere for the children to eat their lunch.
The Solution
We provided three marquees:
- 3x9m for the childrens’ dining area
- 5x6m as a serving area
- 3x6m for access
These included:
- Hard flooring
- Hard walls and doors, including ramps
- Heating and lighting
The Results
The children had a warm and dry space to receive and eat their lunch and the school was able to meet its obligations throughout this time. The building work to repair the school was completed over the Christmas holidays and they are now back using the school hall again.
