The Client
North London Collegiate School is a top independent day school aged 4-18. Founded in 1850, they provide a carefully judged blend of support and challenge, a friendly and warm atmosphere, glorious facilities and extensive extra-curricular activities. The school is are based in Edgware, Middlesex.
Their needs
Every year, they hold a valedictory ceremony for the Year 13 students. In July 2021, the school decided, for Covid reasons, not to use the school hall. They needed a more socially distanced space for 800 students
What we did
A 20m x 40m (w x l) marquee was installed on the school’s playing field. Within this we provided carpet and 700 chairs.
The marquee was installed a few days before the event and removed a few days afterwards, with no damage to the playing field the Sixth Form Centre would present best value option for the school. As with all our proposals, we included three fit out options, and tailored flexible hire plans given the circumstances around the pandemic.
The Results
The valedictory ceremony and prize giving took place without a hitch, with everyone confident that social distancing minimised the possibility of Covid spreading. Whilst the marquee was on site, it was used for a Celebration for Arts and a House Colours Award presentation.
