Yesterday’s announcement by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson means another delay of lockdown restrictions easing in the UK. The planned unlocking of the country was due to take place on the 21st of June. Unfortunately senior ministers have signed off the delay, meaning the lifting of the restrictions will not take place as planned. Restrictions will be lifted and larger events will resume from 19 July 2021.
What does this mean for our clients?
There will still be limits placed on the capacity for many venues. This includes pubs, restaurants, sports clubs, and other venues. It also means that these venues will need to continue to observe social distancing.
